THE STORY BEHIND THE VOICE
Burton Trouble knew freight and machinery long before Mars. How he ended up on the civilian ship belongs to his passenger story.
On Mars, he wants a working rig and a job worth doing. Deliveries take him beyond the central settlement; breakdowns bring him into contact with crews who soon learn what he can fix. He has little patience for a plan that ignores the road.
After work, the guitar comes out. As B. Trouble, he makes country songs from hauling, weather and the people encountered along the way. His performances feel like another gathering after a shift, with somebody in the room certain to recognise the troublesome piece of equipment in the verse.
